History of Bob’s Jobs Renovations, Remodels and Handyman Repairs

We are a growing renovation, remodeling and handyman service with headquarters located in Virginia Beach, but also serving the cities of Norfolk, Chesapeake and Portsmouth.



Bob Wager and Jo White, owners of Bob's Jobs Handyman ServicesWe started out simply by passing out business cards going from door to door in our neighborhood.  This led to repeat business with satisfied customers and word of mouth referrals.

With Bob’s history of carpentry skills, deck repair & building as well as running another small business, he was well prepared to embark on a new venture, a general handyman service.

Jo, on the other hand, has experience in customer service from her previous work for the state of Virginia. She now devotes her time to servicing clients as well as attending networking meetings and business oriented classes where she is establishing contacts that not only assist her with the business but also provide referrals for Bob’s Jobs. She continues to provide a personal touch for their clients by sending hand-written thank you notes after a job is completed and by writing twice monthly newsletters that include handyman tips and news articles about the personal adventures of Bob and Jo.

In March of 2014, our company grew to add a strategic partner, Rich Fisher, formerly of Rich Fisher Construction, Inc. He comes to us with over 20+ years of experience doing upscale, high-end remodels and renovations.  This allows us to take on much larger projects than we had in the past.  We know that you will be quite pleased with his skills and expertise.

At Bob’s Jobs, our emphasis is on quality work for our customers as well as cleanliness and being on time.  We will call you or send you an email reminder 1-2 days before we show up at your home.  If you prefer, Bob and Rich will wear shoe covers in your house to protect your carpeting and floors.  They will abide by any “house rules” you let them know about.  Before we start our work with you, we will give you a written estimate, to include an explanation of the what the job entails and how we have arrived at that price quote.  We will answer any questions you might have and show you examples of our work as well as testimonials from satisfied customers.  We will give you an idea as to how long we believe the work will take and communicate with you while the job is being completed to ensure that you are getting the service that you expect and deserve.
